Why Crafts for Our Family?
We are a TV family. Like, we love our shows. But, I’m working on stepping back from electronics so much and doing more crafts! Enter these sailboats! Truth be told, I bought these for a fun activity for my son’s birthday party. We had a mini party with my parents and sister and we put these boats to good use! These are perfect for family time, whether it’s for a party or not!
Wooden Sailboats
Check out these sailboats! They are like wooden puzzle pieces. They come individually wrapped and assembly is pretty easy! You design them either before or after putting them together. We chose to design them afterward. Depending on their ages, you may need to help your kids with assembly the first time.

Paint Sticks
My initial plan was to use regular paint. But, when I got to the store, I saw paint sticks! I had never heard of them, but was quite excited with the concept! I grabbed them and they were great! They are made like glue sticks and are used like crayons. They dry pretty fast and are so fun to use! And…no messy cleanup! They even wash very easily off of your skin! Winning!
Family Approved!
We all enjoyed this activity! I will be adding this type of craft to our family activities list! It is so versatile that you can use it any time you have an inkling for crafting! In fact, I plan to use the extra sailboats at a Christmas party we plan on hosting! Can you imagine Christmas trees and Santa Claus on these boats? Ahhh! Yes!
