Shannan Shops! (November 22-29, 2020)

Posted on November 30, 2020January 3, 2021 by Shannan

Hello! My name is Shannan. And I am a shopaholic. I used to call myself a recovering shopaholic, but that ship has long sailed! So, I figured I’d bring my friends along with me to see what I buy during my shopping adventures.

I have linked items that are still available online. Please note that some links are affiliate links where I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. So, you ready to see what I got?

Tuesday, November 24, 2020

After telling my Instagram friends that I needed to stop shopping, I called my friend Lisa and set up a shopping date for the following week. I caved so fast! After making plans for my dad to watch my kids, I settled on Tuesday. The idea was to buy ONE thing. Black boots. That’s it! That was my plan…

We started out at Shoe Show. Lisa is a shoe expert. So, when she found black boots for $24.98, I was sold! I normally like to spend less than $20, but I needed boots so it is what it is! I wore these boots over the weekend, as pictured below. I have also linked the boots too!

After getting lunch at Three Dollar Cafe, we headed to Cato Fashions. Whyyyy did I agree to go there? Who am I kidding? My leg was hardly pulled. After shopping there, I left with six items including, ornament earrings ($4.99), a smocked floral top ($11.99), a striped floral top ($5.99), a sleeveless burgundy knit top ($7.99), a yellow top ($1.99) and burnt orange pants ($11.99). After taxes, I only paid $48.09 so I guess that wasn’t too bad! Right!?

Most items aren’t available online, but the earrings and smocked top are! I wore the top to church yesterday paired with a coral skirt I bought several months ago for only $2.99!

Friday (November 27th)

So…yeah…I got caught up in the Black Friday sales! In my defense, I got NUMEROUS sale notifications from Shein. It did NOT help that they were having a Buy One, Get One 99% off sale on select items! After tax and discounts, I paid $39.63 for a floral button up blouse ($0.16), sunflower print maxi dress ($25.00), beige heart sweater ($20.00) and shirred waist flare skirt ($0.17). After seeing these prices, can you blame me? All items are currently available, except the heart sweater. However, it is available in other colors!

Saturday (November 28th)

I have no excuse for shopping Shein on Saturday! Or, what about the fact that they had a flash sale with items I liked? Will that suffice!? LOL! After taxes and discounts, I paid $32.83 for a gold faux leather skirt ($7.90), ombre denim jacket ($12) and shirred animal print dress ($9.90). That’s right! I needed a denim jacket. There’s the reason! So, I NEEDED to go online shopping! All items are available, except the skirt in gold. It is available in other colors!

Sunday, November 29th

So…I thought about it and I really needed some black booties. Yes, I know. I bought the other black boots. But, they are more casual. I needed something more dressy for skirts and such. Right!? You feel me? So, I had previously saved some in my Shein Wishlist. But, I’m impatient. I wanted the boots sooner rather than later. Enter Amazon prime! I paid $25.99 before tax for these beautiful cutout boots! Aren’t they gorgeous!?

Then, I got to thinking. We need some new matching family Christmas pajamas! The ones I bought for my daughter last year were already a size smaller than she wore. But hey, my daughter and I wanted her to match us instead of wearing a gown version of our pajamas! So, now we needed a new set. This was an ordeal!

I wear a 3X, sometimes 2X in bottoms. The first hurdle is to find pajamas in my size and then hope it comes in a family set. Fortunately, it wasn’t as hard this year as it was last year. But…. I did not see where I could order the boy version of our set so I ordered my son the girl version. After my husband took a look-see, we realized that I did not click the color of the boy pajamas and that is why I could not add them to the cart! Let’s blame this on mommy brain! So, I re-bought the set and cancelled the first order. Crisis averted! I have linked them below! But hurry! They are selling fast!

And there you have it! My shopping extravaganza! I am going to try to slow down for real this time. Let’s see how that works! Until next time Comfies! Happy Shopping!

Hey y'all!!!! I'm so late, but better late than Hey y'all!!!!

I'm so late, but better late than never! This is what I wore on Thanksgiving!!!

I'm trying to get over feeling like I'm overdressed just because I wear a skirt or dress.

This sweater was a little oversized, but tucking it in made a huge difference! I started to wear the black version of this skirt, but opted for this green!

I just LOVE when an outfit comes together so well!!!!

I have to say that I'm really in the holiday spirit this year! How about you?
I worried nonstop all last week about my son's bir I worried nonstop all last week about my son's birthday party.

Would he get sick? He did. And was recovered days before his party.

Would my husband, daughter or I get sick? We didn't.

Would we have enough food? We did.

Did the place get our reservation right? They did.

You get the drift.

After all of that worrying I did, Deuce's party turned out great! Everyone had a great time!

I did all of that worrying for nothing. I wasted a full week worried for nothing.

God doesn't want us to worry about tomorrow or the days after. There's absolutely nothing we can do anyway. We don't even know if we'll even still be around tomorrow.

Let's try to enjoy today. This hour. This minute. Let's let God handle the rest.

Happy Sunday Comfies!
