This week on Instagram, I teamed up with my friend Sharon to “twin” our styles. For each day, we picked a theme and both styled it our way! Enter this look. We decided to wear dark denim, but I let Sharon pick the color of the top for this day. I am soooo glad that she chose a white top with a navy cardigan. It didn’t take me long to figure out what I wanted to wear!

You ever have something in your closet like this? You liked it enough to buy it, but you haven’t worn it in a while? Welp, that’s how I felt about this kimono. And I LOVE kimonos, but this one has been harder to style for some reason. Well, not today. The navy blue is accented with white stripes in every direction! And the orange trim just set the whole thing off! It goes perfectly with denim and a white tee!

Never underestimate a white tee. I learned that lesson today. I decided to put on a sleeveless white tee underneath and go for it. The white mixed between dark denim and the kimono provided the perfect base for this outfit. And by now, you know I love anything tucked in for a nice, clean look! Now full disclosure here. I was a little concerned about having my stomach poke out, but honey, it’s all about picking the photos with the right angles! This white tee has some stretch and is a little slinky so it ended up beingĀ a perfect fit. And the fact that it was free adds icing to the already scrumptious cake!

Now about the sides aka the accessories! I’ve become a minimalist when it comes to the number of accessories I wear. The white shoes and bracelet were perfect because they added consistency and matched the white tee. But check out those earrings! They have been stored in my jewelry box for about six years. I can’t remember where I purchased them, but they are so adorable! See, it’s good to go through some of your old items!
Well, that wraps things up! Thanks for reading Comfies! Have you found some oldie but goodie treasure in your closet? Tell me about it in the comments! Until next time, have a great day friends!
